Time heals most wounds but some,
Too painful, too deep, no healing to be done
These can be put behind a door
Those wounds that have cut you to the core
This door can stay closed
Until there’s strength enough for it to be exposed
Or it may stay shut forever, locked up tight
Silent, patient, protective and that’s alright
For time doesn’t heal all wounds, just shut that door
Go make new memories, throw away the key, stop that inner war
